Moderator: Brandon Baxter is a Program Manager for Aging and Adult Programs at the NACOG Area Agency on Aging. He is also the Former President of the Board of Arizona Caregiver Coalition. Brandon is also a caregiver to his mother and lives with his wife and three daughters in Northern Arizona.
Michele is an autistic woman and mother of two autistic children. After her children were diagnosed, she saw that the emotional, physical, and educational needs of the caregiver were never cared for. Caregivers were unseen and unsupported. Care 4 the Caregivers was born to fill that need. Michele will be discussing “A Day in the Life of a Caregiver” during the Virtual Family Caregiver Day on March 9th! Jutta Urich
- Executive Director of the Arizona Caregiver Coalition, will be speaking about the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers and current projects at the Arizona Caregiver Coalition.
Shane Allen is the Senior Director for All HCBS Programs at the COPA Health. He has been with COPA for more than 16 years. He is Now the President of the Board of the Arizona Caregiver Coalition. Shane is also a caregiver to his brother who has lived with him and his family for 19 years. Shane and his wife Kristi have 4 kids still at home and they have a Grandbaby that is the love of everything they do who lives in Colorado with their oldest and her husband.
Brendon Blake is the Associate State director for Advocacy at AARP Arizona and has been there in multiple capacities since 2016. He focuses on advocacy work at the local, state, and federal levels, working on a variety of issues such as transportation, financial security, and healthcare. Previously, Brendon worked in the areas of public housing and mental health. He has a passion to help people in whatever capacity he can. Brendon was born and raised in Phoenix and has master’s degrees in both Social Work and Public Administration from Arizona State University.

- Program Development Coordinator with the Arizona Caregiver Coalition, will be speaking on how family caregivers can be an advocate in their community.
