Jantell Cansler’s two main passions are education and volunteerism. She values the contributions of family caregivers and supports veterans and people with disabilities. It has often been said that she collects charities like some people collect shoes. There is always a cause that needs people and time, and she loves to be involved and help wherever she can.
Her life of service began during her college years. She volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and homeless shelters around her school. After college, she met and married her husband. She has two sons that also know the value of education and volunteerism.
Jantell was a teacher for many years and was fortunate enough to work with at risk and troubled youth. She has always had an affinity for the elder population, as well. She is currently pursuing a double master’s in Health Administration and Business with a concentration in Gerontology.
Jantell Cansler sits on the board of the Arizona Caregiver Coalition and the Advocacy Steering Committee for AARP and is firmly committed to improving the lives of her fellow community members through service and support for causes that affect everyone.
