Family Caregiver Day at the Capitol March 30th, 2017 Sponsored by the Arizona Caregiver Coalition Caregivers may be partners, family members, or close friends. Most often, they’re not trained for the caregiver job. Many times, they’re the lifeline of the person with the diagnosis.  Consequently, caregivers will put their lives on hold or adjust their work schedule to care for their loved ones, oftentimes creating an economic burden. Finances are reduced due to out-of-pocket caregiving expenses.  63% of Arizona caregivers use their own money to help provide care, per AARP.
